Before every burn, use your wick trimmer to trim your wick to 1/4". This will prevent the wick from falling or from emitting smoke which will result in your container turning black.
 
We recommend using a wick dipper when putting out your candle. This will prevent smoke and ensure ash does not contaminate your candle.
